Betty Ann Potts

Betty Ann Potts, 88, passed away on February 29, 2020. Betty was born on February 9, 1932 in Morgantown, West Virginia at home. Betty graduated from Morgantown High School in Morgantown, West Virginia in 1950 and later went to work at West Virginia University as a Secretary in the Engineering College for the Deans Office from 1950-1956. Later Betty would retire from University of Memphis as a Re-Admissions Supervisor. She had a love for reading, volunteering at the Orpheum, and occasionally taught Sunday school. Betty has been a dedicated member of St. Stephens United Methodist Church for 53 years. She is preceded in death by her parents and siblings. She is survived by her husband of 64 years, James Potts; and daughter, Melissa Danielson. Family will receive guests Wednesday, March 4, 2020 from 1-2pm with the funeral service immediately following at 2pm at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave., Memphis, TN 38122. Burial will take place afterwards at Memphis Memory Gardens, 6444 Raleigh Lagrange Road, Memphis, TN 38134.
