Betty K. Moore

Betty K. Moore, 96, passed away April 11, 2018 at Baptist Hospital after a short illness. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, William R. Moore, Sr.; by her parents, Jacob Snyder and Pauline Hedden-Snyder and three sisters. She is survived by three children, Helen Kay Speer, Richard Moore, and Ronnie (Cathy) Moore; two grandchildren, Angela (Sammy) Klein and Greg Moore; great-grandchildren, Savannah Klein, Kayde Moore, Madison Klein, Karsen Moore and Katherine Moore.

Mrs. Moore served at Highland Heights United Methodist Church as President of the UMW, superintendent of the Sunday school, chairperson of the annual church bazaar for over 50 years. She loved nature and the outdoors spending summers camping with her family.

The family will receive friends on Friday April 13, 2018 from 5-7 P.M. at Memphis Funeral Home, 5599 Poplar Avenue. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 2 P.M. in the chapel of Memphis Funeral Home with interment to follow at Memorial Park. Gifts in memory of Mrs. Moore may be offered to the Bartlett Animal Shelter or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
