Betty Ray Harper, 93, of Norris, TN, formerly of Memphis, passed away June 4, 2011. She retired from Goldsmith's and was a member of Colonial Baptist Church. Mrs. Harper, the widow of Roy Harper, is survived by her son, Walter Harper and daughter-in-law, Patti Harper of Norris; and her brothers, Jesse W. Ray of Memphis and Robert E. Ray of Ramer, TN. She was preceded in death by her sister, Elizabeth Deere. The family will receive friends 9:30 a.m. Saturday, June 11, at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, Poplar Avenue with a graveside to follow at 10 a.m. at Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be sent to the Alzheimer’s Association.
