Betty Bernero, 81, died after a brief illness on January 11, 2014. She was a loving mother of Janie O’Neal, Michael Bernero, Marsha Christensen and Johnny Bernero. She is preceded in death by her husband Elbert “Johnny” Bernero and her daughter Lyn Creed. She leaves eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends at Family Funeral Care located on Summer Avenue, 9-10 AM Tuesday, January 14, with funeral services to follow. Graveside services will be Tuesday, 1:30 PM at Harmony Pratt cemetery in Milan, Tennessee. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
