Barbara Elizabeth Sanders Thomason, age 75 passed away on Tuesday, February 8, 2022. Barbara was born July 29, 1946 to the late Fred E. and Cora E. Brunson. She was preceded in death by her siblings, Jerry Sanders and Joyce Sanders Mitchell.
Barbara enjoyed traveling, camping, crafting, fishing, being with her family and spending time in the Smokey Mountains. She was a member of the following organizations United Daughters of the Confederacy, Daughters of the American Revolution, World Witness Women Ministry, Southern College of Optometry and the Eye Industry and a member of Richland ARP Church for 75 years. She will be missed by all those who knew her.
Barbara will be cherished by her husband of 54 years, Mike Thomason; her son, David (Elisa) Thomason; her brother, Dr. Steve ( Martha) Sanders; her grandchildren, Peyton Bledsoe, Courtney (Frank) Kirkpatrick; her great grandchild, Kaylee Kirkpatrick; 27 nieces and nephews and 50 great nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Friday, February 11, 2022 from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Richland ARP Church, 8658 Rosemark Road, Millington, Tennessee 38053. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 12, 2022 from 11:00am until 12:00pm at Richland ARP Church, 8658 Rosemark Road, Millington, Tennessee 38053. The interment will be at Rosemark Cemetery in Rosemark, TN. After the service the family will receive friends at the church for food and fellowship.
