Barbara Sue Hughes

Memphis – Barbara Sue Hughes, 71, was born December 1, 1946, in Memphis, TN and passed away January 18, 2018, in the comfort of her home. Ms. Hughes retired from Kimberly Clarke in Memphis. She is survived by one son, James Christopher Hughes and his wife, Jennifer Blassingame Hughes. Also, she shared a close and loving relationship with her sisters, Ann Glass and Diane Ballard and her husband Gene Ballard. There will always be lasting memories for her grandchildren Nicholas Hughes, Natalie Hughes, and Mary Attison Hughes. In addition, Ms. Hughes had a host of nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly. She was preceded in death by her parents, Chalmers Leon Hughes and Bertha Gray Hughes, her brother Bill Hughes and her sister Nancy Reeves. Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 23, 2018, from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. at Family Funeral Care followed by a graveside service at Memory Gardens Cemetery on Raleigh Lagrange.
