Ms. Liles retired in 2003 as the Assistant Administrator of Methodist Hospital Germantown. She was an RN for 50 years. She spent most of her free time serving others. Her accomplishments include Leadership Memphis, past President of the St. Louis Parish Council, EMS Council, United Way of Greater Memphis, Memphis Area Chamber of Commerce, past Chairman of the Germantown Chamber of Commerce, current member of the City of Germantown Industrial Development Board, member of the Tennessee Citizens Corps (Department of Homeland Security) and was named as one of the “50 Women Who Make a Difference” and Germantown Hometown Hero.
She graduated with a Bachelor of Science from the College of St. Francis and received a Master of Science (Summa Cum Laude) from the University of Arkansas all while working full time and raising a family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles F. Liles, Jr. and leaves behind four children, their families and a sister. Charles F. Liles, III, wife Cyndi, grandsons Chris, Garrett and great-grandson Isaac. John F. Liles, wife Alicia. Andrew F. Liles, wife Audrey and granddaughters, Avery and Elliott. Daughter, Alexis Marie Liles and granddaughters, Emily and Olivia. Sister Bettye Braswell of Nashville.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 21st at Family Funeral Care from 5 p.m. – 8 p.m. with rosary being said in her honor at 7 p.m. A memorial mass will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, September 22nd at St. Louis Catholic Church.
The family request in lieu of flowers that donations in memory of Annette be made to St. Louis Catholic Church or a charity of the donor’s choice
