Anne "Dell" Idell Deweese

Dell was born on October 26th, 1948 in Birmingham, Alabama to her parents Dr. James and Annie Lee Morris Brown. Dell graduated from Tuscaloosa High School and attended the University of Alabama where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gama Sorority. Following graduation, she worked in the field of mental health. Dell never met a stranger and was known for her kind heart. She loved animals and genuinely cared for every person she met.

Dell was preceded in death by her parents and beloved husband John Deweese. Dell and John were part owners of the Belmont Grill in Memphis for many decades.

Dell is survived by daughter Dr. Mary Dell Deweese and her husband Dr. Chris Greco, brother Byron Mackay Brown (Delia) from Miami, Florida and her sister-in-law Vicki Deweese from Memphis, TN

Service for family and friends will be held on May 1, 2023 in the rotunda of the Mausoleum in Memorial Park Cemetery.
