Ann Dees

Ann Ernestine Simpson Dees, 80, of Memphis, died Tuesday, October 25, 2011 at Methodist Hospital Germantown. She was the widow of Charles L. Dees and is survived by her daughter, Kathryn Dees Dunahoo and husband, Randy; son, Philip Charles Dees and wife Debbie; her five grandchildren, Charles B. Dunahoo, Amy Dunahoo Seaton, Heather Dees Smith, Whitney Dees and Krissy Dees and her two great-granddaughters, Audrey Seaton and Emma Dunahoo. She also leaves three brothers, James H. Simpson and wife, Marilyn, Neil W. Simpson and wife, Marcie, and Alvin Y. Simpson, and wife, Dollie, and two sisters-in-law, Dr. Wanda Dees and Linda Dees Crenshaw. Mrs. Dees had been a homemaker and a secretary and a member of the Church of Christ. Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday, October 27, at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, Poplar Avenue, with burial in Memphis Memory Gardens.
