Anita Carlyne Philpot, age 98, went to her heavenly home Friday, November 25, 2022.Carlyne was born in Kenton, TN on September 8, 1924. She was one of six children to parents Sullivan and Gertha Sharp. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son and four siblings.
Carlyne loved roses, reading her Bible, sewing and playing bingo. She loved her family and will be missed dearly.
She is survived by her son, Dennis (Alice) Jones; two granddaughters, Jennifer (Keith) Blakney and Mandy (Jason) Jordan; grandson, Cameron (Jennifer) Jones; seven great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter and one sister, Wanda Welch.
The family will receive friends on Friday, December 2, 2022 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM with Celebration of Life service to follow at Family Funeral Care, 4925 Summer Ave, Memphis, TN 38122. The committal service will occur at Memphis Memory Gardens, 6444 Raleigh Lagrange Road, Memphis, TN 38134.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to LeBonheur Children’s Hospital.
