Albert “Ham” Kirk, 77, passed away Friday, April 7, 2017. He was born in Bridgeport, AL on November 10, 1939 and began working in the coal mines alongside of his father at the age of 11. He then became a horse trainer for a few years before learning the car business from his future father-in-law, Marion Workman, in 1960. Ham was a car dealer up to the time of his death. He was a member of Ellendale Church of Christ, a devoted Christian, father, grandfather, brother, and husband. A man of many friends of which he cherished. His greatest achievement was raising his family who worshipped, honored and adored him. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joe Kirk, Jr. and Maybelle Phillips Kirk; grandparents, Albert and Louise Phillips; brothers, Joe Kirk III, Robert J Kirk, Sammy Kirk, Larry Wayne Kirk; sister, Sarah Kirk; and daughter in law, Cindy McAllister Kirk. Ham is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, Glenda Joyce Workman Kirk; sons, Randy Joe Kirk, Marion Lee Kirk (Melvina), Justin Ray Kirk; daughter, Teresa Louise Kirk Walker (Russell); brother, Leevan Kirk; sisters, Norma S Sieczkarek (John), Sandra Carol McCarter, Mary K. Bryant, Brenda McAllister; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; special friend, Bob Brandon and numerous other close friends and family. Family will receive guest at Ellendale Church of Christ, 7365 US-70, Memphis, TN 38133 on Wednesday, April 12th from 12 pm till his memorial service begins at 2 pm. Officiated by Billy Sharp.
