Timothy James Shoemaker

Tim as he is better known as was born to James C. Shoemaker, and Lenore R. Leonard on April 3rd, 1952. He went to school at West High School. He married Lucena Mesina on December 6th, 1975 in San Diego, California. He retired as a sales associate from Sears. He was a veteran of Vietnam War and honorably served in the U.S. Navy. He continued to serve his country during retirement through his volunteering at the VA in all the states he resided in.

Tim is preceded in death by his parents James and Lenore, and two sisters, Jean O’Neill and Patricia Hargraves.

Tim is survived by his sweetheart and wife of 48 years Lucena, Carolyn Melville (Ron Melville); sister. Their Children: Neil Mesina; Son, Lory Mesina (David Piercefield); Daughter, and Mayumi Ottman; Daughter. Grandchildren: Kayla Ratliff (Jonathan Ratliff), Malaya Pasco-Mesina, Ronin Pasco-Mesina, Meilani Ottman, and Isla Ottman. Great Grandfather to Payton Timothy Ratliff, Addilynn Ratliff, and many more loved ones.

Celebration of life will be held in Rockford, IL at a later date that is to be determined. Flowers and memorials may be delivered to his wife Lucena Shoemaker.
