Robert E. (Gene) Lambert passed away January 31, at home surrounded by love.
A precocious youth he had many adventures before graduating high school and joining the Navy at 17. During his 22 years of service he did 3 tours of duty in Viet Nam on swift boats. He truly enjoyed being a sailor and upon retiring worked for the military as a private contractor before moving to Oregon to be with family. He started a new career as a truck driver and this is where he met the last love of his life Shirley. Together they built a wonderful life in Eagle Point on the S & L Ranch.
Gene was preceded in death by Shirley and one son, Bob. He is survived by 3 sons and their wives, Steve & Colleen, Mick & Krystle, Don and Michele and one daughter Kathleen. 9 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren.
A Celebration of Life will be held in the Spring. He will be loved and missed every day.
