Les lived a life filled with faith, love, generosity, and good humor. He took enormous pride in his family, friends, and members of his church and community. He especially enjoyed time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Whether he was Dad, Les, Bud, Uncle Bud, or Papa Totten, he was proud to carry the name.
Les was born to Thomas Madison Totten and Lelia Gertrude Totten (Taylor) in Helena, Arkansas, as the middle of six children. At the age of two, his family moved to Greenwood Springs, Mississippi, where he spent the remainder of his childhood and attended Greenwood Springs School until his graduation in 1953. At the age of 22, he joined the US Air Force and served four years including a tour in Taiwan before receiving an honorable discharge. Shortly after returning home to Mississippi, Les accepted a job offer from a family friend to work with him at his new business in Medford, Oregon; it was in Medford where he met his future wife, Patricia Maloney. Les and Patricia Totten were married April 21, 1963, and together raised 3 children as they settled their home and built their lives together in the Rogue Valley. Les eventually worked for Boise Cascade in White City, and continued until his retirement.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Patricia Totten (Maloney), his daughter Kellie Mulder, his granddaughter Lindsey Mulder, his sister Marion (Jenny) Wale, and his sister Jewel Taylor.
