Grace Edna McMillan, 90 years of age, went home to be with the Lord, Monday morning, January 1st, 2018. Grace was born February 26, 1927 in Newberg, Oregon. She was the first of five children born to Clarence Jennings Smith and Lucy Clarisa Smith. After her fathers death, Grace boarded at and graduated from the Nazarene High School Academy in Nampa, Idaho. She then attended Northwest Nazarene College and the Good Samaritan Hospital nurses training program (where she became an L.P.N.). It was during her days at N.N.C. That she met Norman E. Lowry, whom she married on August 26, 1947 in Ridgefield, Washington. Together, they had four children. Rev. Lowry preceded Grace in death on August 27, 1980. Grace worked most of L.P.N. Career in hospitals, though in later years she served in a doctors office. On September 14, 1993 Grace married retired United States Navy EMCS Frank ‘Mick’ McMillan, in Clark, South Dakota. Their twenty four years were lived together in Clark and Watertown, South Dakota, and finally in Medford, Oregon. Grace is survived by her husband Frank (Mick), four children; Sherryl Kammerzell, Linda Farley, Norman Lowry jr., Michael Lowry, two step-children; Kathleen McMillan and Colleen Poor, nine grandchildren, twenty one great-grandchildren.
