David Wayne Gabriel, 66, born in Grants Pass, Oregon, passed away unexpectedly on December 17th, 2021 at his riverside home in Shady Cove, Oregon. A proud resident of Bend nearly all his years, Dave was an avid lover of cars, and went on to work passionately in the automotive industry for nearly 40 years before retiring in 2010. In his spare time, he loved being outdoors and enjoying nature, volunteering in his local community, and frequenting his favorite thrift stores for treasures. He loved his family, and is survived by his two children; his daughter Tara, and son Cameron, to whom he was a kind, patient, and loving father. In addition, he also leaves behind his former partner Sherri, to whom he was devoted for many years before their amicable separation. To all who knew him, Dave was a man with a huge heart – into which everyone was welcomed. His easy-going demeanor made him effortless friends wherever he went, and he will be cherished and remembered fondly by all whose lives were touched by these encounters.
