She grew up in Central Point, Oregon. The youngest of three (3) children. It was always an exciting day when her older brother and sister allowed her to play with them! She attended Mae Richardson Elementary School, Scenic Middle and Crater High School. Corrine raised her family in the Rogue Valley.
Corrine’s unwavering devotion to her four outstanding boys was admired by many. She took great pride in being a baseball, football, band, and military mother, and anyone who knew her can attest that Corrine’s daily conversation revolved around her children. Corrine’s kids came first and it was obvious to all how proud she was to be their mother. Corrine was also a loving grandma who delighted in spending time with her first grandchild, and eagerly anticipated another on the way. A little girl who would round out her all-male family. Intensely protective and loyal, Corrine’s deep love and admiration for her family was evident to all.
In her time working at Jefferson Elementary School, Corrine cared for, loved on and encouraged hundreds of children. Ms. Mahoney’s hugs felt like safety and kindness, and her impact on the children of her community will ripple out for years. She considered Jefferson her second home and valued the friendships she created, as well as the laughter shared in those halls.
Corrine was also highly respected as a loyal, caring and honest friend who was known to be there to support others going through their own difficult times. Her home was always open, and she loved hosting get-togethers surrounded by her many close friends. Corrine regarded her friends as extended family, including them in all aspects of her life. Corrine loved deeply and valued the support of true friendship as one of her most important facets of her life.
She is survived by her four sons: Taylor Scott (Savannah) and grandson Kane; Christian Mahoney (Paola) and granddaughter Nia; Dru Analla Mahoney and Tommy Analla. She is also survived by her mom and dad, Jeannie and Dan Marcisz; her brother Dan (Marcie); her sister Susan; her co-parent partner Gabe Analla, and several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews. Her fur babies Buddy, Binx, and Baylee rounded out her family.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents Tommie and Eugene Taylor Hunt, and Catherine and Robert Mahoney.
Corrine would say “think of me when you have a Coke (never a Pepsi!!)”, and when you drive by a Sonic, hand a lemonade slushy in her honor.
When Spring comes and the Wisteria vine shows its first green leaves and pale purple flowers, when the Dogwood tree gently opens its pink flowers, think of me: I am with you.
A Celebration of Life will be held at Jefferson Elementary School, 333 Holms Avenue, Medford, Oregon on Saturday, April 9 at 3pm.
