Jones and Melissa A. Jones, John served in WWII (1944-1946) and worked as a lineman and
technician for C&P/Bell Atlantic Telephone, retiring after 43 years of service.
He is survived by his wife of 74 years, Carolyn W. Jones, his six children: Susan Tyler (Bert), John
Jones Jr. (Bunny), Wanda Sharp (Tommy), Rebecca Schmidt, David Jones (Tanya), Amy Miceli
(Nick), and his 18 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren, and 3 great, great grandchildren.
Relatives and friends are invited to John's visitation at Woody Funeral Home- Atlee Chapel, 9271 Shady Grove Rd, Mechanicsville, VA on Tuesday, February 20th from 4-7 pm. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, February 21 at 10 AM in the Woody-Atlee Chapel. Interment will immediately follow at Signal Hill Cemetery.
