Jean Johnson Wray

Jean was born in Lynchburg, Virginia on March 25th, 1931, to Darrie Belle and William Lewis Johnson. Jean married Roy Lee Wray, Sr., on April 3rd, 1951. They ran a successful interior decorating/design business which included decorating two Governors’ balls and many Richmond Weddings. They also ran The Gift Shop, all while raising three children. Jean loved children, especially babies, gardening, her back porch swing, and collecting little rabbit figurines. Jean was especially fond of her many grand dogs. Jean and Roy were faithful, active members of the Trinity Presbyterian Church.

Jean was predeceased by her husband Roy in March 1990. She will be missed by her three children, Marsha Wray Peters of Florida, Roy Lee Wray, Jr (wife Terri) of South Carolina, and Kelly Wray Denke (husband Rudy) of Virginia; Seven Grandchildren, Lauren (husband Alexander), Lee, Justin (wife Megan), Brooke (husband Alex), Kaitlyn (husband Jordin), Jake and Rudy; four Great Grandchildren, Axel, Sterling, Emersyn, and Connell. Surviving also are three sisters, Eleanor Moyer, Phyllis Saunders, and Lynda Stuart of Virginia.
