Ott, George E., a resident of Mechanicsville, VA and formerly of Roxborough, Phila., PA succumbed, April 14, 2012. He was a member of Mechanicsville Presbyterian Church; and a 50 year Mason with dual brotherhood in Palestine-Roxborough Lodge No. 135, A.F. & A.M. in Philadelphia and Washington and Henry Lodge No. 344, A.F. & A.M. of Virginia. He retired after 30 years as a Union Carpenter and member of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America.
Surviving family are his wife, daughter, son, son-in-law, daughter-in-law and three grandsons.
Masonic Memorial Rites will be rendered 7 p.m. Monday (today) at the Atlee Chapel, Woody Funeral Home, 9271 Shady Grove Rd. in Mechanicsville. The family will receive friends 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at Mechanicsville Presbyterian Church, where a funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. Interment will be private.
In lieu of flowers, donations of remembrance may be made to Mechanicsville Presbyterian Church; veterans associations; or Bon Secours Hospice Assn.
