Truman Herring, 76, of Oglesby, TX, passed away peacefully on May 1 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 28, 1948 in Mcgregor, TX to the late Dorothy Jo Humphries and Tommy Herring.
Throughout his life, Truman was known for his unwavering dedication to his family and his community. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend. His kindness, warmth, and bold spirit touched the lives of all who knew him.
Truman was a proud veteran of the Navy and served in the Vietnam War. He had a successful career as a Construction Superintendent with Mazanec Construction in Waco, TX, where he was respected for his hard work, integrity, and ethics. In his free time, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and woodwork and was always eager to share his passions with others.
Above all else, Truman Herring cherished spending time with his family. He leaves behind his devoted wife of fifty four years,Judy Bovee Herring, his loving children, Jeff Herring and his wife Miranda Herring, Jennifer Harrison, and her husband Heath Harrison, and Tiffany Weiss and her husband Jason Weiss, and his adoring grandchildren Abigail, Benjamin, Cason, Macy, Claire, Mason, Jackson, and Serenity. He will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. One sister Sandra Herring and nieces and nephews.
