

Terry was born into a military family, his father being in both the Army and Marines. Although born in Caro, Michigan his travels would take him all over the world starting as an infant. He would graduate Pocono Mountain Senior High School at age 17, and with his parent’s blessing go straight into the United States Navy, where during his time with them, he would be awarded National Defense Service Medal; Vietnam service medals; Vietnam Campaign Medal; Navy Unit commendation; Sea Service Deployment ribbon; Battle “E” Ribbon; Good Conduct Medals(3); Navy Achievement Medal; Humanitarian Service Medal; Navy Expeditionary Ribbon; Expert Rifle Ribbon; Expert Pistol Ribbon; Navy Reserve Good Conduct Medal. His journey as active duty would eventually see him become an Aviation Ordinance Chief. After almost 22 years active duty, Terry retired on a Friday from Navy duty, and on the following Monday went straight to work as Navy contractor for another 20 years; he remained on reserve for the Navy until he reached full retirement of 30 years. Terry had many many hobbies, with his all time favorites being hunting, fishing, and traveling.
Terry is survived by his wife, Lois S. Kelly from Oglesby, Texas. Four siblings; Mike Kelly of Pennsylvania, Marine Dillon of Ohio, Karen Rieder of Pennsylvania, Janice Kresge of Pennsylvania.
Terry is survived by sons Michael Kelly of Maryland, Chris Kelly of Maryland; Stepsons Bobby Smallwood of Ohio, Chris Smallwood of Oglesby, Texas. Daughter Michelle Abell of Maryland; stepdaughter Sarah McAfee from Belfast, Northern Ireland. Terry had 5 grandchildren
