Sarah Garlene Maberry

Sarah Garlene Maberry, age 89, passed away on Monday, February 10, 2025, in Milano, Texas. A graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. on Friday, February 14, 2025, at Comanche Springs Cemetery in McGregor, Texas with Rev. Chris Marsh officiating.

Sarah was born on August 6, 1935, to Garland Albert and Sarah Syble (Cox) Yeager in McGregor, Texas. She worked as a Escrow Representative / Co-Owner of Macon Engineering. Sarah married the love of her life, James David Maberry, Jr., June 17, 1954 in McGregor, Texas. They celebrated 70 years together. She enjoyed being a mom, jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzles, watching John Wayne movies, going to Elvis Presley’s concerts, the company of her cats, returning home to visit her parents every chance she had, but most of All she enjoyed being with family.

Sarah is preceded in death by husband, James David Maberry, Jr., son, James Kelly Maberry, both parents, sister, Doris Janet Yeager Gleave.

Survivors: daughter, Kim Jenkins, daughter-in-law, Melba Maberry, 8 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
