Ronnie Carl Riley

Ronnie Carl Riley, age 70, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 15, 2023, surrounded by his family. A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 21, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. at Cole Funeral Home in McGregor, Texas.

Ronnie was born on December 5, 1952 to John Edward and Mary (Latham) Riley in Whitney, Texas. Ronnie served in the United States Navy from January 7, 1971 to January 5, 1973. After an honorable discharge, he completed Law Enforcement training and earned certificates from McLennan Community College. He then went on to become a police officer for several years. Later, he would spend the rest of his career in the truck driving industry. Ronnie was a longtime resident of McGregor.

He is preceded in death by his beloved grandparents, parents, and brother, Gene Riley.

He is survived by his wife, Delores Riley of McGregor; sisters Shirley and Cathey; daughters, Renee Riley of Waco and Christi Bryant of Hillsboro; two stepdaughters, Diane Almendariz and husband Eddie, and Crystal Valdez and husband Edward; step-son, John Gonzales of McGregor; and five grandchildren, Preston, Lola, Leyla, Lily, and Edward Jr.
