Pat (Patricia) Helen O’Michael Baldwin, 73, of Crawford, passed away August 10, 2017. Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, August 15, 2017 at First United Methodist Church, Crawford, Texas with Reverand Robyn Young officiating. Visitation will be 6:00-8:00 p.m., Monday, August 14, 2017, Cole Funeral Home, McGregor, Texas.
Pat was born May 27, 1944 to Joseph Daniel and Grace Burroughs O’Michael, and grew up in Odessa, Texas. She was active in the Permian High School Band, played the flute, was a Majorette, and was Drum Major. Pat attended Baylor University where she met her husband, Don Baldwin. They were married May 26, 1967, in The Elizabeth and Robert Barrett Browning Library Chapel, on the Baylor campus. They settled in Houston, where Don worked in the petroleum industry. Pat was a wonderful wife and mother. Their only child, Austin Reginald Baldwin, was born in Rio De Janerio where they were living while on assignment with Exxon. Pat was a passionate and unceasing advocate for Austin all his life. Austin graduated from high school in 2000, in Kingwood, Texas. Upon retirement, the family moved to Crawford, Texas, to land Pat loved and lived on until her death. She always enjoyed music of all genres, reading, art, and travel, and she was able to travel extensively in her lifetime.
Pat was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and brother, Mark Burroughs O’Michael.
Survivors include her son, Austin Reginald Baldwin; sisters, Michelle Addie Lee O’Michael and husband, Steve Archer, Shannon Jo O’Michael Mitchum; nieces Quincee Evans Brown and husband, Sien (Shannon) Brown, Patricia O’Michael Gong and husband; nephew Quentin O’Michael Mitchum and wife Sarah Koeper Mitchum; brother-in-law, Reg Baldwin and wife, Janette; numerous cousins, grandnieces and grandnephews.
