Louise N. Tate, 81, passed away Thursday, February 1, 2018 in Waco, Texas. Funeral services will be Tuesday, February 6, 2018, 10:00 a.m., Cole Funeral Home, McGregor, Texas. Burial to follow at Waco Memorial Park at 11:30 a.m. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday, Feb. 5, 2018 at the funeral home.
Louise was born April 3, 1936 to Robert Fritz and Nellie (Cox) Wiese in Waco, Texas. She was a longtime resident of McGregor and a member of College Avenue Baptist Church in McGregor. Louise worked as a Registered Nurse for more than 30 years in hospitals, schools, home health services, and nursing homes in the Central Texas area. She enjoyed painting, sewing, numerous crafting hobbies and her beloved pets. In retirement, she loved RV trips and traveling to gospel music, rodeo, and arts festivals.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert Fritz and Nellie Wiese; and brother, Bob “Snooky” Wiese.
Survivors include her daughter, Cindy Jeffery, and husband, Terry, of Tucson, AZ; son, Lee Tate of Austin, TX; granddaughter, Jody Gardener, and husband, James, of Tucson, AZ; grandson, T. J. Jeffery, and wife, Cassidy, of Phoenix, AZ; great-grandson, Tristan Jeffery of Phoenix, AZ; brothers, Bill Wiese, and wife, Sharon, of Woodway, TX, and Joe Wiese, and wife, Kit, of Granbury, TX.
Memorials can be made to College Avenue Baptist Church in McGregor, Texas.
