Josephine Gomez

Josephine Gomez, 72, of McGregor, passed away Friday, December 15, 2017. Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 20, 2017, Cole Funeral Home, McGregor, with Brother Lee Jimenez officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 19, 2017, Cole Funeral Home, McGregor, with a Celebration of Life following at New Covenant Church, 304 S. Main, McGregor.

Mrs. Gomez was born in Sandia, Texas to Emillo and Eva Piaz Jimenez on May 19, 1945. She was married to Nicolas Gomez for 56 years. Josephine worked as a nutritionist for Westview Manor in McGregor for 14 years. She loved sweets, planting roses, “wish” shopping, worshiping in church, visiting other churches, and, most of all, spending time with her family.

Josephine was preceded in death by her parents; siblings, Jose Jimenez, Elida Cavazos, Adan Jimenez, Emilio Jimenez; and grandson, Winston Coffey.

Survivors include her husband, Nicolas Gomez; sons, Ricky Gomez, Tony Gomez, Mike Gomez; daughters, Norma Gomez, Irma Marie Kasting, Dolores Gomez; 17 grandchildren; and 21 great-grandchildren.
