John Gilbert Cooper

Mr. John Gilbert Cooper, 83 of Crawford, passed away Saturday, March 12, 2022 in Waco, Texas. Funeral service will be at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 17, 2022 at College Avenue Baptist Church in McGregor, Texas with Dr. Philip Riegel officiating. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at College Avenue Baptist Church on Thursday, March 17, 2022.

John was born on August 18, 1938 to Gilbert Adams and Jewel Juanita (Renfro) Cooper in McGregor, Texas. He graduated from El Monte High School in 1956. He earned his Associates Degree from East Los Angeles Community College. John served in the United States Army from 1963-1967. He worked for Sears and Roebuck for 40 years as a Service Repairman and retired in 2004. He enjoyed collecting cars, spending time outdoors. John was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his brother, Gary Donald Cooper and wife, Carlene of Indio, California, nephew, Kevin Cooper and wife, Allison of Tyler, Texas, niece, Kristin Wullschleger and husband, Rick of Monrovia, California, great-niece, Reese Cooper, great-nephews, Nathan Cooper, and Adam Wullschleger.
