Grace Bramlet Sullivan of Waco died Monday, August 15, 2011, at the age of 86. Graveside services and interment will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, August 20, 2011, at McGregor Cemetery with Rev. Mickey Fugitt officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 8 P.M. Friday at Cole Funeral Home, 1113 West Fifth Street, McGregor.
Mrs. Sullivan was born April 23, 1925, in McGregor, Texas, the daughter of the late Charlie and Pearl (Kilgore) Spivey where she attended school. She continued her education at a beauty school in Waco. Early in her adult life, she moved to Grand Prairie from McGregor. In 1953 she returned to the Central Texas area and to Waco where was in the beauty business. She began her career with Southgate Beauty Shop in 1960 and retired in 1991 from Hazel’s Beauty Shop after devoting thirty-one years to the beauty profession. She was a member of an Eastern Star Chapter in Waco and enjoyed sewing and cooking.
Also preceding her in death was a brother, Howard Spivey.
Survivors include her son Charles Bramlet; a daughter, Judy Murphy; a sister, Jeanette Jordan; three grandchildren, Tommy Murphy, Blake Bramlet, Matt Murphy; two great grandchildren, Bryson Murphy and Haley Murphy.
