Gloria "Dodie" Donaldson

Gloria (Dodie) Donaldson, 83, of Crawford, passed away Sunday, January 18, 2015 in a Waco hospital. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, January 21, 2015 in Chapel Hill Memorial Park in Waco.

Mrs. Donaldson was born on May 31, 1931 in Speegleville, Texas to Samuel Washington and Launa (Giles) Jones. She married G.O. (Red) Donaldson in 1953 and they celebrated over 49 wonderful years together until his death in 2002. Mrs. Donaldson loved to go shopping, talk, laugh and play solitaire. She was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church and the Birthday Club. Mrs. Donaldson was preceded in death by her parents, husband and her brothers and sisters; Pauline Buice, John (Bun) Bunyan Jones, Bob Jones, Frances Brice, Samuel C. Jones, Alton Jones, Giles Jones, Jimmy Jones, Hazel Jones, Ann Clark, and Eugene (Ike) Jones.

Survivors include her son; Bradley Donaldson and his wife, Linda of San Diego, daughter; Candace Lay of Crawford, grandchildren; Mackenzie Perkins and her husband, Tyler of Chicago and Morgan Lay of Waco, her loving dog; Coco and numerous nieces and nephews.
