Frances Annette Wiese

Frances A. Wiese, 73, of Crawford, Texas passed away Saturday, September 4, 2021 in Waco, Texas. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 9, 2021 at Cole Funeral Home, with Reverend Jeremy Sanders officiating. Interment will follow in Crawford Cemetery. Visitation will be one hour prior to service time on Thursday, September 9, 2021 at the funeral home.

Frances was born on November 14, 1947 to Collin Brooks, Sr. and Mary (Naylor) Brooks in Waco, Texas. She graduated from Crawford High School in 1966, was a longtime Crawford resident, and a member of the First Baptist Church of Crawford. Frances worked at Smead Manufacturing as an assembly line worker for 25 years. She married the love of her life, Walter J. Wiese, on June 14, 1984 in Waco. She enjoyed sewing, embroidery, and cactus gardening. Frances and Walter loved relaxing and spending time in the mountains near Chama, New Mexico. Most of all she enjoyed spending time with her family, especially all of her grandchildren and great granddaughters.

Frances was preceded in death by her parents, Collin and Mary Brooks; and sisters, Mary Katherine Brooks and Betty Brooks.

Survivors include her husband, of 37 years, Walter J. Wiese of Crawford; sons, Hank Smith and wife, Stephanie, of Crawford, Collin J. Smith of McGregor; grandchildren, Austin Smith, Dakota Smith, Skye Smith; and great grandchildren, Faith Smith, and Hunter Smith.
