Eugene Darrell Fletcher

Mr. Eugene Darrell Fletcher, age 83, of Moody, passed away Saturday, November 19, 2016 in McGregor, Texas. Memorial service will be held at 1 PM Saturday, November 26, at Cole Chapel in Moody with Reverend Mickey Fugitt officiating.

Eugene was born Feb. 19, 1933 to William Alford and Jennie (Naylor) Fletcher in Speegleville, Texas.

He married the love of his life, Beatrice Emmons on Feb. 18, 1961 in Waco, Texas. Eugene worked 28 years as a truck driver for a lumberyard company and retired in 1998. Eugene was a resident of Moody and a member of Stockton Methodist Chapel. He enjoyed taking care of his kids, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

Eugene was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and 6 sisters.

He leaves behind to cherish his wonderful memories, loving wife, Beatrice Fletcher of Moody; daughter, Dana Beaumont and husband, Matt of Moody; son, William Boyd Fletcher and wife, Chris of Moody; grandchildren, Robin Fletcher, Misti Jones, Kristi Richter, Jason Fletcher, Eric Roberts and Karli Fletcher, and 20 great-grandchildren; brother, Alford Fletcher and wife, Delica of Fort Worth; and sister, Barbara Sue Tanner of Gatesville.

Honorary Pallbearers: Robin Fletcher, Jason Fletcher, Eric Roberts, Tristen Fletcher, Dakota Vasquez, Jayden Fletcher, Jayce Roberts, Jayce Fletcher, and Stone Fletcher.
