David Fredrick Zacharias, 60, went to be with the Lord August 31, 2019. The funeral service was 2:00 p.m. Monday, September 2, 2019 at First Baptist McGregor in McGregor, Texas. A visitation for family and friends was at 1:00 p.m. at the church. A loving son, brother, uncle, and friend, he will truly be missed by all who knew him.
David was born on May 6, 1959 to Herbert and Billie Preddy Zacharias in Waco, Texas. He lived in or around McGregor, Texas his entire life and graduated from McGregor High School in 1981. David was baptized at First Baptist Church on December 25, 1977 by Dr. Gary Cook and lived his life serving the Lord and preached the word proudly. A great prayer warrior, David had a prayer list a mile long. He had a passion for helping others and enjoyed volunteering six days a week at Westview Manor where he also resided the last few years of his life. David was a huge blessing to all, but especially to his parents that he cared for their entire lives.
David was preceded in death by his father, Herbert, his mother, Billie, and his two brothers, Clyde and John. He is survived by his niece Karen Zacharias-Enax and her husband Blake and their sons Hudson, Gavin, and Brendon Enax, along with many loved cousins and friends.
