Crystal Stanford Zoch

Crystal Stanford Zoch of McGregor died suddenly early Tuesday morning, October 2, 2012, at the age of 31. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Monday, October 8, 2012, at Cole Funeral Home Chapel, 1113 W. Fifth Street, McGregor with Rev. Lianne turner officiating. Interment will follow in McGregor Cemetery. Visitation will be 6 to 8 P.M. Sunday at Cole Funeral Home.

Crystal was born September 10, 1981, in Waco, Texas, the daughter of Tommy and Edith Loraine (Surface) Stanford where she graduated from Waco High School in 1999. She pursued her dream to be a police officer by continuing her education at Hill County Police Academy in Corsiciana and the Waco Police Department. Prior to moving to McGregor in 2007, she was with the Waco Explorers and joined the McGregor Police Department upon moving to McGregor On June 13, 2009, she married Jamie Kyle Zoch in Waco. In her spare time, she enjoyed boating on the lake, camping, taking long rides in the country to relax her mind and being a wonderful mother to her children.

Preceding her in death was her step-father, Danny Howell.

Survivors include her husband Jamie Zoch; her mother, Edith Howell of Mt. Calm; her father, Tommy Stanford of Arlington; two sons, Justin Kyle Zoch of San Antonio, Brady Kyle Zoch of Covington; a daughter, Allyson Paige Zoch of McGregor; four brothers, Robert Dean Howell of Mt. Calm, Trey Stanford and wife Tammy of Temple, Dannie Howell of Mt. Calm, Landon Stanford of Temple; paternal grandparents, Carl and Mary Surfus of McGregor; paternal grandmother, Cris Talesek of Temple; aunts and uncles, Dean and Connie Surfus of Chalk Bluff, Karen Rinewalt of Waco, Ricky Stanford of Temple; step-grandparents, Roger and Shirley Zoch of Kingsville; a very special and close friend, Jennifer Goff of McGregor and many other extended family members.
