Cristian Daniel Olvera, age 17, passed away on Saturday, June 2, 2024 in Crawford, Texas. Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. on Monday, June 10, 2024 at the Exchange Event Center in McGregor, Texas. Burial to follow in McGregor Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m., on Sunday, June 9, 2024 at Cole Funeral Home in McGregor, Texas. Pallbearers are Luis Gerardo Olvera, Eduardo Reymundo Olvera, Carlos Cardenas, Sergio Dominguez Jr, Moses Perez, and Andre Monjaraz.
Cristian was born on May 17, 2007 to Gerardo and Maria Olvera in Waco, Texas. He was a longtime resident of McGregor, Texas. Cristian attended McGregor High School and was excited to start his Junior Year in the Fall. He loved playing soccer and video games. He was such a hardworking young man who loved to help his father. He loved a challenge. Cristian's favorite snack was a big bag of Takis, but nothing topped his mother's cooking. As a proud Mexican, he loved wearing his cowboy boots.
We will miss his infectious smile and kind heart. He will be forever remembered as Coyote Viejo once he lost the spot for being the youngest of the family to his baby brother, Eryck.
Preceded in death by his fraternal grandpa, Miguel Olvera Vazquez.
Survivors include his parents, Gerardo and Maria Olvera; brothers, Luis Gerardo Olvera, Eduardo Reymundo Olvera, and Eryck Yahir Olvera, sister, Sofia Esmeralda Olvera.
