Bob Ed Garner, 78, of Eddy, passed away Monday, June 28, 2016. A graveside service will be Friday, July 1, 10:00 a.m., at Eddy Cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday, June 30, from 6 to 8 p.m., at Moody Chapel, Moody, Texas.
Bob Ed was born January 19, 1938 to James Edwin Garner and Evelyn Beatrice Hamlin Garner, in Moody. He graduated from Eddy High School in 1956. Bob Ed married his wife of 35 years, Jana, in September of 1981. He was a journeyman lineman, at TP&L and TXU, and retired in 1992, after over 30 years of service. Bob Ed loved classic cars, built race cars, enjoyed fishing, and spending time with his family and his beloved companion, Bella.
Mr. Garner was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his wife, Jana; son, Kevin Garner, of Reisel, Kenneth Garner and wife, Angela, of Lorena; and granddaughter Dianna.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Bruceville-Eddy Volunteer Fire Department.
