Billie Ruth Hinton

Billie Ruth Hinton, 83, of McGregor, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, September 17, 2019. A graveside service will be 10:00 a.m., Friday, September 20, 2019 at McGregor Cemetery, McGregor, Texas. A visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m., Thursday, September 19, 2019 at Cole Funeral Home, McGregor, Texas.

Billie was born on May 24, 1936, in Gatesville, Texas to Matthew Jefferson Moore and Oma A. (Cole) Moore. She grew up and went to school in McGregor and on August 20, 1954 she married James H. Hinton. Billie had a big heart and it showed in many ways. She found the good in everyone, always had a smile on her face, and opened her door to everyone. She loved being a housewife, raising her children, music, listening to the birds sing, her grandchildren, and shopping at Walmart.

Preceding Billie in death were her parents and her husband, Harlan Hinton.

Survivors include her son, Doug Hinton; daughters, Gayle Campos and husband, Eswell, Stephanie Englutt and husband, Dustin; grandchildren, Juli Campos, Kirk Hinton, James Hinton, Matthew Englutt, Stelyn Englutt, Riley Walker; sister, Oma Jackson; nephew, Curtis Moore; numerous nieces and nephews; and any person that needed a home.
