Barry McPherson

Barry McPherson passed away Sunday, October 6, 2013, in McGregor at the age of 49. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M. Thursday, October 10, 2013, at Cole Funeral Home Chapel, 1113 West Fifth Street, McGregor with Rev. David Thompson officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 8 P.M. Wednesday at Cole Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Buckhorn Cemetery south of Moody.

Barry was born May 26, 1964, in Waco, Texas, the son of Jerry Lynn and Darlene (Armstrong) McPherson. A 1982 graduate of Moody High school, he participated in FFA, played Tuba in the band, was on the football and basketball teams. For twenty-five years he was in the printing business. More recently Central Texas Printing in Waco has employed him for the last fourteen years.

Barry was an active member of College Avenue Baptist Church where he sang in the adult choir and joyful noise choir. He was a member of the Adult 1 Class.

He had numerous hobbies which include his love of music, being an avid bass fisherman, spending time with his family and church family.

Survivors include his mother and father, Darlene and Jerry McPherson of McGregor; a son, Coleman Lynn McPherson of San Antonio; two daughters, Jessica Ann McPherson and Erynne McPherson all of San Antonio; two brothers, Darron McPherson and wife Stephanie of Belton, Miles McPherson and wife Jami of McGregor; five nieces, a nephew, aunts, uncles and cousins.
