Annie Bea Gent Scott

Annie Bea Scott, 89, of Moody, passed away on Tuesday, August 9, 2016. A 10 am graveside service will be held at Waco Memorial Park, on Friday, August 12, 2016, with Pastor Josh Pruett officiating. The graveside service will be followed by a Memorial Service at Moody Methodist Church. The family will receive friends on Thursday, August 11, from 6 to 8 pm, at Cole Funeral Home, McGregor.

Mrs. Scott was born in Bethany, Texas on June 24, 1927, to Tom Gent and Bessie Hibbit Gent. Annie married R.W. Scott on December 24, 1947, and they celebrated 68 years together. She was a teacher and librarian for 30 years, was a member of Moody Methodist Church, and loved sewing, reading, gardening, and quilting.

Annie was preceded in death by her parents, and her sister, Bessie Mae Brandon.

Mrs. Scott is survived by her husband; son, Randy Scott and wife, Lynn, of Kingwood; grandchildren, Emily Rickman and husband, Chris, of Spring, Heather Pulaski and husband, Scott, of Springboro, Ohio, Brad Scott and wife, Brooke, of Kingwood, Andy Scott, of Kingwood; six great-grandchildren; brother, Tom Roy Gent, of Bruceville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
