Woodrow Nelson Rogers Jr.

Mr. Woodrow Nelson Rogers, Jr., age 51 of Jackson, Georgia passed away October 19, 2015. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia to Woodrow Nelson Rogers, Sr. and Tena Walker Rogers. Woody retired after 15 years as a Trooper with the Georgia State Patrol. He enjoyed spending time with his children, family and his dog, Sugar. He also enjoyed guns, knives, hunting, fishing, golfing, and being outdoors. Survivors include his children, Ryan (Kayla) Rogers of Shelbyville, TN, Rebekah (Dale) Parrish of Flovilla, GA, Ruth-Anne Rogers of Milner, GA, Regina Rogers of Milner, GA; grandson, Rhett Nelson Rogers; parents, Nelson and Tena Rogers of Jackson, GA; sisters, Beckie Rogers of New Jersey, Cindy (Eric) Fryer of Jackson, GA; grandmother, Mary Rogers of Shelbyville, TN; nieces, Meribeth and Martena Williams of Carrollton, GA and Haley Fryer of Griffin, GA. Funeral services will be conducted Friday, October 23, 2015 at 2:00 pm from the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home. Pastor Rob Tinney will officiate. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park. Friends may visit the family Thursday from 5:00 – 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
