Wayne Alan Henry, age 76, passed away on September 30, 2023. He was born on January 6, 1947 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late John Lee Henry, Jr. and Lillian Elise Henry. Mr. Henry was in the U.S. Army Reserve and he was a police officer for most of his life. He was an avid Atlanta Braves fan. Wayne had a positive attitude and enjoyed the simple quiet times. He was loved by so many people and will be dearly missed by the lives he influenced. Wayne will be remembered as a good listener and a very caring loving man. He is survived by his beloved wife, Sandra Henry; daughters, Wendy (James) West of Monroe, Georgia, Christina Henry of McDonough, Georgia; grandchildren, Angel, Josh, Tristan, Cody, Carly, Mazlyn; 1 great-granddaughter, Gynysis; brother, Ronnie (Ruth) Henry. Funeral services will be held at 11:00am on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 at Haisten Funeral Home in McDonough, Georgia. The family will receive friends one hour prior to services. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens in College Park.
