Stephen Paul Hamilton

Mr. Stephen Paul Hamilton, age 69 of Brasstown, North Carolina, formerly of McDonough, Georgia passed away June 26, 2021. He was born in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Van Robert and Sarah Quigley Hamilton. He was preceded in death by his wife, Cereta Evelyn Reid Hamilton and by brothers, David and Scott Hamilton. Stephen was a member of Shepherd of the Mountains Church in NC, where he sung in the choir and lent a helping hand to Nehemiah's Ministry. When living in McDonough, he was a member of the Hampton First Baptist Church. Stephen retired after over 30 years with the United States Postal Service. Stephen was known as "Teka" to his family and friends and enjoyed the outdoors, gardening, and hiking with his Goldendoodle, Oscar. He was also a history buff and had a strong Christian faith. Survivors include his daughter, Joy (David) Maddox of Hoschton, GA; sister, Suzanne Hamilton Manning of Mt. Juliet, TN; significant other, Janie Henslee of Brasstown, NC; several nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 1, 2021 - 2:00 PM in the Haisten Funeral Home Chapel. Friends may visit the family from Thursday 12:00 - 2:00 PM prior to the service. Burial will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park.
