Our daughter and sister, Sarah, transitioned to be back Home with her Savior Jesus Christ Monday, July 15, 2024. She was born and raised right here in Henry County. Sarah was a dancer, not just a dancer, but a dancer of all genres of dance. Her favorite was acro contortion. She studied for twelve of her precious sixteen years and she was a great tumbler and a beauty queen in which she held many titles. Sarah loved theater and was part of the Locust Grove High School Theater and Thespian Club. Sarah absolutely loved makeup! At our house we have seen her put it on and take it off ten different times in one day alone. She also was a “gamer” taking after her Bubba who referred to her as his best “little buddy”. She was also part of the Locust Grove Varsity Gymnastics Team. She simply loved to perform and had already traveled the majority of the U.S. to do what she loved. Her accomplishments in sixteen years are more than most experience in a lifetime and we are so proud of the legacy she leaves behind. She is survived by her mother and father, Jill Williamson Brooks and Dr. Bobby Shane Brooks. Her older, adoring brother that she called “Bubba”, Leviticus “Levi” Shane Brooks. Her family included grandparents Judy Williamson, the late Jackie Williamson and Diane Williamson, Sylvia Lockridge and the late Bill Lockridge as well as Sharon Brooks and the late Eddie T. Brooks “Papaw Eddie” whom she will be laid to rest beside. Her uncles include Chris Brooks as well as Jeff (Stefanie) Williamson and her Aunt Ashley Porthro (Greg). Numerous cousins including Onna, Cole, Elijah, Alivia, Amya, and Emma. She had so many other family members who adored her and all the little ones thought of her as a Barbie. She had so many fellow dancers, especially the younger ones who aspired to be like just like her on the dance floor and the tumble mats. Sarah loved all her friends, both old and new, who became an extension of the Brooks’ household, such as McKenzie, Jessie, Macie, Leah and both Abbi and Abbey. So many more to name including her theater friends who sparked joy in her in every single conversation. Her teachers, coaches, and especially her dance instructors who believed in Sarah, her abilities, and recognized her potential, which was limitless.
It is with a crushed heart that we write our daughters’ obituary, so if you have children and are reading this I encourage you in the strongest of terms to go love on them without measure immediately…
Anyone that would like to join with her family in celebration of her life we will do so in her favorite color which was pink. She would love pink flowers .
