Although he was blind, he still saw. When you came in his presence, you declared he seen what you saw. His physical iris shut out the chaotic of the world & inviting you into the presence of a man with a beautiful spirit who loved the Lord and  people. I'm greatful that he got the opportunity to work at the Federal bldg.

To The Parents and Family of Sam McClain,

I wanted to let you know that while I did not get to speak with all of you after the beautiful service held for Sam on Monday, I wanted to let you know that you were all in my thoughts and prayers. 
He will be truly missed in the BEP family.

Dear Angela and Family:

Angela, I had the honor and pleasure of meeting you at the Snack Bar and wanted you and your family to know how much Sammy will be missed around here.  We had the same birth date (not the same year!) and he was always kidding me about something.  We grieved together for Dustin, my other buddy at the snack bar.  Please know you all are in my thoughts and prayers.

I pray that you all find comfort and strength in the Lord's word. May Sam rest in heaven.

I always enjoyed visiting Sammy and his guide dog when I would stop by the Snack Bar at the Legislative Office Building.  He was very kind and will be missed.

Sam you will be missed. May your soul rest in peace.

I'll miss you my sweet friend!  You always brightened my day every time I walked into that snack bar with your beautiful smile and cheerfulness.  I just know you are looking down from heaven and seeing all of us and as God promises, we shall meet again someday.

Sam was managing our café here at work.  He tried hard to make it a better place for us. He had great plans for us. We will so miss seeing Sam and his beautiful dog.

I had just come to know Sam when he started working here at the Federal Aviation Administration in our Snack Bar. In his short time here, he made many friends. He never met a stranger and in the first week we all knew his name because he would introduce his self to everyone who came in for a snack or some of his fresh coffee. I will truly miss seeing his smile every morning, it sure brightened my day. Sending my deepest sympathy.

I will never forget Sammy's independent spirit, the determination displayed to overcome the complications he faced time after time. Nor his incredible will to live, not just survive .   
Gonna miss you buddy .
And yes, i'll smile when i remember the fun times, that's what you said to do . Thanks for the memories .

I was so sad to hear of Sammy's passing.  I know what it is like to lose a son.  It is never easy, but we have faith in our Lord. We will see them again.  My prayers are with you.  I will never forget meeting Sammy and the love and kindness he showed our daughter, Jana when she lost her sight.  He was such a loving, kind soul.

We lived next door to Sammy, he would leave for work about the same time we did.
He was always a good neighbor!  We will certainly miss him, and his two dogs!  Such a sad thing for his family to have to endure,but we know that because of him, his family has more friends.  Our prayers are with his whole family and to his care worker.

I never spent any time with Sam that I didn't walk away a better person.  Sam had an infectious positive outlook on everything which raised the quality of life for all who came in touch with him. Sam saw no cloudy days regardless of the situation.  He helped me through some tough times and I will always be in his debt for his compassion.  A true southern gentleman by anyone's standards.  Sam set the standard.

I knew Sammy while working downtown at 244 Washington Street.  He ran the snack bar. What a kind, sweet and gentle soul; always upbeat and positive.  Met his Mom and Dad several times...a very nice and supportive family.  Thinking of his friends and family at this sad time.  Rest in peace, Sammy.

Wishing all the family and friends of "Sam" my deepest condolences. It was a pleasure working with Sam during his tenure with the Business Enterprise Program (BEP). Sam was very much loved and respected and it goes without saying that he will be truly missed.
