Ruby Marjorie Caldwell

Mrs. Ruby Marjorie Caldwell, age 83 of McDonough, Georgia passed away December 26, 2018. She was born in Mt. Hope, Alabama to the late Joseph Christian and Callie Elizabeth Thrasher Steele. She was preceded in death by her brother, Ben Steele. She retired after over 20 years with Clayton County Board of Education as a cafeteria worker. She was a member of Oakland Baptist Church and enjoyed trips to the Smokey Mountains and Gatlinburg. Survivors include her husband of 65 years, Jim Caldwell; children, Jimmy Caldwell of Newnan, Terry (Sandy) Caldwell of Watkinsville and Rebecca Caldwell of McDonough; grandchildren, Jennifer (Tim) Woodall of Carrollton, Ty (Laci) Smith of Auburn, AL, Jesse (Whitney) Caldwell of Atlanta and Justin (Alison) Caldwell of Clarkesville, TN; great grandchildren, Hunter, Bekah, Ashley, Christopher, Cade and Effie. Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 30, 2018 – 2:00 PM in the Haisten Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Mike Smith will officiate. Interment will follow at College Park Cemetery. Friends may visit the family Saturday from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at the funeral home.
