Mrs. Roxanne Sammons Nation, age 60, of Covington, GA passed away February 22, 2016. Roxy was born in Atlanta, GA the daughter of the late Audrey Harrison Sammons and William E. Sammons, Sr. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Jon Wayne Nation; siblings, Dean, Gail, Mary and Carol. Roxy enjoyed spending time with family and friends, sewing, traveling, watching movies, caring for animals, cooking, and hosting family gatherings. Survivors are her children, Jenny Perkins (Scott) of Jackson, and Brad Cummings of McDonough; brother, Bill Sammons, Jr. (Jean) of Forest Park; sister, Susan McElroy (Keith) of Newnan; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service for Roxy will be held on Saturday, February 27, 2016 – 3:00 PM in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with Pastor John Jenkins officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 1 – 3:00 PM prior to the service.
