Nancy J. Simmons

Mrs. Nancy J. Simmons, age 88 of Jackson, Georgia passed away March 25, 2015. She was born in White County, Tennessee to the late Jim and Rena Marsh Dodson. She was preceded in death by three brothers and two sisters. Nancy attended the Kingdom Hall in Jackson and enjoyed sewing and flower gardening. Survivors include her husband of 74 years, James Simmons; children, W.J. (Jennifer) Simmons of Tennessee, Sammy (Jeanette) Simmons of Jackson, Elizabeth (Phillip) Bagley of Conyers, Janie (Chet) Kile of Jackson, Ricky (Beverly) Simmons of Jackson, David (Tina) Simmons of Jackson, Daniel (June) Simmons of Jackson; 17 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 11:00 am from the Chapel of Haisten Funeral Home. Bro. Steve Wyatt will officiate. Interment will follow at Bethany Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends may visit the family one hour prior to the service.
