Mildred "Mickie" Patricia White

On the morning of Friday, April 4, 2025, Mildred "Mickie" Patricia White passed through the gates of Heaven. Those there to greet her included her parents Lonnie and Gussie Hunt, her sisters Myrtle and Ann, brother Lonnie Jr., her beloved husband of 70 years Ray Samuel White and her son Melvin.

Mickie was born in Hapeville, Ga on March 28, 1932. She dedicated her life to serving her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and to being the best Mom and Grandma possible. She found joy in singing Gospel music, playing cards, shopping at thrift stores but doing for others made her the happiest.

Mickie's legacy of love and faith lives on through her sons Ed (Pam) White, Mark White, Stacy (Dixie) White, daughter-in-law Donna White, her sister Jackie Bearden and brother-in-law John White. She was also blessed with 10 grandchildren: Michael, Courtney, Krissy, Sara, Kyrie, Alex, Robert, Caitlin, Jacob and Joshua.

Mickie's 93 years allowed her to be witness to many extraordinary events. Among the greatest of those was the birth of her 5 great grandchildren: Alora, Aiden, Hannah, Madison and Nathaniel as well as great great grandchildren Michael and Grayson.

Mickie was strong willed, very kind, generous, loved Jesus with all her heart and will be missed by all she touched.

A visitation for Mickie will be held Wednesday, April 9, 2025 from 5:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Stockbridge Community Church, 4401 GA-155 N, Stockbridge, GA 30281, followed by a funeral service at 6:00 PM.

Interment will take place on Thursday, April 10, 2025 at 1:00 PM at Sherwood Memorial Gardens, 6841 Tara Blvd, Jonesboro, GA 30236
