Michael Sander Anderson

Mr. Michael Sander Anderson, age 67, of McDonough, GA passed away May 7, 2015. Mr. Anderson was born in Queens, NY the son of the late Irene Dorothy Hogan Anderson and Lloyd John Anderson. He retired from the US Navy as a Chief Master Arms with twenty two years of service. Employed by DFACs for ten years and the state prison system in records for nine years. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends, and traveling. Survivors are his wife of thirty years, Joan M. Anderson of McDonough; son, Bobby Anderson of Chesapeake, VA; daughter, Irene Anderson of Chesapeake, VA; sister, Maureen Anderson of Maryland; brothers, Dennis Anderson (Wendy) of Queens, NY and Kevin Anderson (Missy) of Lancaster, PA. Funeral service for Mr. Anderson will be on Thursday, May 14, 2015 – 3:00 PM in the chapel of Haisten Funeral Home with Chaplain Donald G. Bowen officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow at Eastlawn Memorial Park in McDonough.
