Margaret Alexander Dorsey, age 91, of McDonough, Georgia passed away June 12, 2023. She was born December 24, 1931 in Hampton, Georgia to the late Roy L. and Ellen Lucile Mitchell Alexander. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Carlton Glenn Dorsey and by a nephew, Chuck Williford.
Margaret faithfully worked alongside her husband at Dorsey's Nursery for many years. She was a member of the Lovejoy United Methodist Church, where she served in many capacities. Margaret loved spending time with and doting on her grandchildren.
Survivors include her sons, Gordon (Deidre) Dorsey and Carlton (Karen) Dorsey all of Hampton; grandchildren, Kevan (Caroline) Dorsey of Brookhaven, Eric (Kristen) Dorsey of Hampton and Jenna Dorsey of Griffin; great grandson, John Glenn Dorsey; sister, Lewellyn (Eddie) Williford of Brooks; niece, Leeann (Tom) Bartlett of Brooks.
A funeral service will be held Thursday, June 15, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Lovejoy United Methodist Church, 2227 Lovejoy Rd., Hampton, GA 30228. Interment will follow at the Dorsey Family Cemetery. Friends may visit the family one hour prior to the service.
In lieu of flowers, contributions are asked to be made to the Lovejoy United Methodist Church, PO Box 10, Lovejoy, Georgia 30250 in memory of Mrs. Dorsey.
